Scottish Language Dictionaries
A body established to develop dictionaries and to promote the languages of Scotland, in particular to develop Scottish lexicography, building on the achievements of the Dictionary of the Older Scottish Tongue (DOST) and the Scottish National Dictionary Association (SNDA). SLD records the language in its Word Collection, provides the material for a major New Supplement to the Scottish National Dictionary, supports the production of the Dictionary of the Scots Language (DSL) by using these resources to update existing dictionaries and develop new ones.
