Sheriffdoms
Historical records of sheriff courts pass to the National Archives of Scotland. Registers of sasines and sasine abridgements
Registers of sasines for Inverness-shire are held by the National Archives of Scotland (RS.36-38). Sasine abridgements for Inverness-shire are held by the National Archives of Scotland (for 1781-1979) and the Highland Council Archive (for 1781-1970).
