County Council Records
The records of Caithness County Council and its predecessors are held by the North Highland Archive. County Constabulary records

County Constabulary records
Some records of Caithness County Constabulary are held by the North Highland Archive, which also holds the minutes of the Caithness County Police Committee (and predecessors).

Valuation Rolls
Assessors' rolls for Caithness County for the period 1855 to 1989 are held by the National Archives of Scotland. North Highland Archive hold valuation rolls for the county from 1878 until 1989, and for Wick burgh from 1855 until 1989.

Medical Officer of Health Reports
Annual reports of the Medical Officer of Health for the County of Caithness are held, for the period 1891-1974, bv the National Archives of Scotland. They are also engrossed in the committee minutes of Caithness County Council held by the North Highland Archive. Another set of Medical Officer of Health reports (for 1893 (partial extract only), 1911, and 1947-1972) are held by Northern Health Services Archive, but kept in Inverness.

Vehicle Licensing records
