Aberdeen County was served by the sheriff
courts of Aberdeen and Peterhead. Historical records of sheriff
courts pass to the National Archives of Scotland. For further details

Registers of sasines for Aberdeen County
are held by the National Archives of Scotland (RS.4, RS.5, and RS.8).
Sasine abridgements for the county of Aberdeen, 1781-1982, are held
by the National Archives of Scotland and by Aberdeenshire Council
Archives. Aberdeen City Library's Local Studies Department hold
sasine abridgements for Aberdeen County from 1781-1947, but do not
hold indexes of persons or places earlier than 1869.
